Hiking Trails

Overlook mountain trail.
(fire tower, echo lake, devils path)

turn right at the village green in Woodstok on to Rock City rd.
drive up mountain until Buddhist monastery, -trailhead parking across the road.

Mink hollow trail

just up the road  rt 212 in Lake Hill

Mt Tremper fire tower
(great views)
From Woodstock – Follow State Route 212 (west) out of Woodstock, and continue until you reach Mount Tremper.
At the four-way intersection, turn right on Ulster County Route 40.
Proceed about 2.5 miles, and the trail head and parking area are on the right.

Cooper Lake
A beautiful short hike , just up Rt. 212

Esopus Creek Conservancy

Great walking trails and bird watching along the Esopus Creek
Reachable by kayak or car.

Ashokan Reservoir
The best views of the Catskill Peaks,
drive west on rt 28 to reservior rd. (Winchells corners), make right, cross reservoir. bear left on rt 28A,
go about a mile, turn left (first left off28A) go 500 yds to parking area(frying pan.)
